I'm a bit confused about this interview talk, do only specific programs in specific countries do post recommendation interviews? I've been recommended at-large for an ETA in Turkey and I can't find anything that suggests that all ETAs, or any for that matter, get interviewed outside of if your university required an interview. Anyone one know or is also a bit worried that they're missing something?

Thanks I've be wondering about this and I was planning on calling IIE next week. Seems weird though that they couldn't send out a transcript received email, oh well.

Well good luck to you. I know some basic Turkish and I studied Arabic for four years. Although the languages aren't related, some of the Islamic-tinged pleasantries are the same. Hopefully, we'll both be in Turkey by the end of the year!

Yeah, I'm recommended for an ETA to Turkey as well. I'm living in Chicago too, but I just moved here so I applied at-large from Oregon. Good luck! Just to clarify the only thing we need to do before the final selection is send official transcripts to IIE, right?
