  1. Has anyone applied for residence at UofA? I can't seem to find the application for their graduate residence
  2. Hey guys! I have already rejected my health promotion offer from Alberta and will be most likely rejecting epi so hopefully more seats will open up soon! goodluck to everyone waiting
  3. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Do you think the fact that UBC doesn't have streams puts students at a disadvantage? or does it matter when looking for employment?
  4. I got a recommended for admission e-mail from UofS on april 5th and they said it would be forwarded to CGSR that will send the official offer
  5. Thank you! Considering the post above it's probably by stream when i called in last week they said they will be getting back to all the applicants sometime this week
  6. just received an acceptance e-mail for SFU- population health!
  7. Thank you! It seems that they might be sending out offers by stream then *fingers crossed*
  8. Congratulations! what stream did you apply for?
  9. It depends on the stream you want to pursue the UBC mph is general but you can choose electives to make it more focused towards what you want to do but the SFU program has streams and their program is also accredited and an older program. UBC as a school has a better reputation. I would suggest looking at the courses you are required to take under the stream you applied to and seeing if they match your interests and comparing them to UBC's. I personally am interested in epidemiology so I would choose UBC as they seem to have stats/epi focused courses compared to SFU's population health stream.
  10. I called SFU today and they said they are currently working on sending out admission decisions and they will be trying to let all applicants know by early next week! so the wait continues
  11. Congratulations on SFU! has anyone heard back for the population health stream?
  12. Hey! Congratulations on getting into queens! I was wondering what your status is on the uoft website and if you received the e-mail for their spring Mph open house?
  13. I am in the same boat! i e-mailed the graduate coordinator yesterday but haven't heard back yet or received any mail If i don't hear back by Friday I might just call in to find out
  14. Neither did i that might not be a good sign! i just e-mailed the grad coordinator to find out what the decision is fingers crossed
  15. Hey, thanks for the information! I was wondering what your status was on their website? and what stream did you apply for?
  16. One of the applicants posted earlier that she got in but her status still says "under review" so it might not be a good sign but thats just a hunch it could be either but calling them might be the fastest way to find out Ill post as soon as i hear back goodluck!
  17. Hey I applied to epi at UofT as well and I have the same status! but I think they send the decision by snail mail or you could always e-mail them and they might tell you the decision
  18. Thanks! mine says decision made but haven't received any mail yet i guess I have to wait till Monday to find out Goodluck to everyone waiting!
  19. congratulations! did your status change on their website?
  20. Hey! thank you for all the information. I am from Toronto so I am a bit hesitant to move to Edmonton but I was wondering how your experience has been so far? and what is the difference between pursuing an mph with a specialization (epidemiology) and a general one (the one offered at UBC) I am a bit confused about which school to attend and I don't know if not having a specialization would put one at a disadvantage after completing the degree! any advice would be really appreciated
  21. Congratulations! i also received the same e-mail this afternoon from UofA (epi) and have till april 5th to accept. I am trying to decide between UofA and UBC any advice from anyone who has experience with these schools or the program would be really appreciated. goodluck everyone!
