  1. Yes, I visited for the HPS program. The visit was great, met with quite a few profs and a lot of current students. Program looked great and it was very career oriented. The current students said the fall term was pretty hectic in terms of course load while the second term was mainly devoted to the design project and thesis. It seemed that your options for the thesis are incredibly flexible, as in you pretty much decide if you want it to be research intensive or industry related. It seemed like the professors were genuinely committed to the students and had great relationships with them.
  2. Still waiting... Anyone try contacting them regarding funding?
  3. Still no word from UIUC for me... I'm planning on going.
  4. Is anyone else still waiting for a response from Berkeley (MS)? If so, have you tried contacting them?
  5. Did Stanford say they are giving you no funding or to wait for a decision by April 7th?
  6. I really want to, I've emailed them asking if they reimburse any travel expenses. The flight for me is pretty expensive. How about you?
  7. Received an email with my acceptance letter to Stanford, dated February 22. Congrats to the rest of you!! Hope to see you on visitation day.
  8. Just got mine, huge weight off my shoulders!
  9. Has anyone tried emailing Kiley (undersigned in the email) regarding the March 1st deadline? It seems like the majority of the MIT MEng applicants have not heard back yet. Hopefully we don't all get rejections...
  10. Meng for MIT and Cornell, MS for the others. Looks like we have similar goals, good luck in the upcoming months!
  11. I hope that's not the case, that was one of my top choices. Based on last year's results it looks like they send out responses in early march and onward. So it seems like the structural responses are a bit later in the process. If anyone has heard back from UIUC, your input would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Congratulations on the admission. I'm sure you can clarify the details with the department. Just send them an email and let them know of your funding situation.
  13. Thread has a few views but no one is posting. Hopefully gains some traction this month. CGPA: 3.77/4.00 GRE: 154 V, 160 Q, 4.00 AW Experience: 1 year of industry experience 2 summer internships 2 years of undergraduate research Schools: UIUC, Stanford, Berkeley, MIT and Cornell Applied for MS/Meng programs. Haven't heard back from any of the schools yet but I'll try to update the thread if I hear back from anyone. Best of luck to everyone!
