I was admitted to Stanford's MechE MS program on Jan 23rd (Yay!) and was invited to the visit days (Feb 14-15). The stated agenda is to meet faculty, tour labs, and interview for fellowships. I'm quite excited about the program, but I am not in a position to fund a masters at Stanford myself either, so I'm stressing about these fellowship interviews. Has anyone else been through the fellowship selection process before? Are these fellowships research positions, teaching assistants, or course assistants? How many are typically available? I haven't been able to find any information about the meche department's MS fellowship process so any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks!
