  1. I too am faced with this same dilemma. I feel that counseling is a bit different than any other program, because the events that happened to us really shaped who we are today and what type of counselors we will become. I think share as you see fit. When I interviewed, almost every single candidate had some major event, either childhood abuse, rape, past addictions, etc that lead them to the counseling field. If you feel uncomfortable, don't share. But take comfort in knowing that there may be other people in the program who have gone through something similar.
  2. If I get into the grad program I want, I will try to join the honor society. It is for graduate students only though. As far as sporting events, the school has a top notch women's gymnastics team, so I am going to those. I don't think I will have too much contact with undergrads.
  3. I find out early to mid March. I am freaking out. I think I need to start a show on netflix, so it can consume my life until I hear the verdict.
  4. I am 24. I applied to a program that starts in the summer, and I turn 25 in July. When I attened the interview for the program, it seemed to be a good mix of younger and older women. (I am applying to a counseling program, and there was not a single man interviewing!)
