Just wondering about your experiences...

I applied paid my application fee and was told that I would get the more specific application once they reviewed my application. I haven't heard anything back yet and I'm scared that I just wasted $50. The first part of the application was just demographic information and nothing where they could make a decision. Has anyone else encountered this.?
