Haha, thanks for the encouragement, everyone. The professor has a really typical, American-sounding name, so I can't blame it on that. I think I'll stop sweating now and never mention the incident again to anyone.

I got a call from one of my schools the other day telling me I'd been accepted. That was great news and all, but then I immediately went and shot myself in the foot. The guy on the phone told me that one of the professors wanted to work with me, and I said I didn't recognize him. Of course, it was actually the professor I had expressed an interest in on my application, but I had somehow forgotten his name. The interview (if it could be called one) ended pretty soon after that. Anyway, I've been fretting about this ever since. Could they rescind my acceptance because of this? I think I made a pretty major error, and it'd be great to see what you guys thought.
