  1. I called them today, and they told me the same thing: that its going to be early next week. I also asked whether people who haven't received admissions yet were rejections, and she said she couldn't tell me anything about that. So I don't know what to make of that. Although from what they said when I called earlier in the week, the reason the results haven't been posted online is because they are still waiting for an official list of admissions from the EECS faculty, so in that sense there could still be hope. Perhaps the people who have already been admitted are those who have an "in" with a professor already, maybe because they were an undergrad at MIT or had some other form of contact with a professor. Maybe they are now still sorting out who else to admit other than the ones they knew from the start they wanted... Just a thought
  2. I just called the EECS office as well. They told me pretty much the same thing, but I also asked them about how some people have already received acceptances via email. They said that some people have been notified, but some people who are admitted have not yet been notified. So there is still hope for us. She said to check the website tomorrow, because they hope to have all of them up by then.
  3. I also called the EECS office and they told me the same thing about the results most likely being posted this Friday (Feb 22) but possibly as late as March 1. If you look at the results page on GradCafe, there are really only 7 people who posted that they were accepted to either Electrical Engineering or EECS. The rest are all Computer Science. And as someone previously mentioned, those 7 posts might just be trolls. Even if not, I find it surprising that only 7 people who aren't Computer Science have gotten in and posted on this site.
