  1. You seriously make me want to vomit. Please do not go to SAIS because your attitude will be a major drag on the program regardless of your IQ. I am praying for you to get into an MBA program. You are PERFECT for an MBA - clearly most interested in the social environment and monetary impact of grad school. I am also an ex Wall Street guy so I know your type very well.
  2. I believe this poster is referring to the information in the "Important Dates" section of the SAIS website: http://www.sais-jhu.edu/graduate-studies/admissions-and-aid/important-dates I'm wondering if the 15th is a firm date or more of a guideline. And also, how long has that information been posted?
  3. Re-opening this topic... was anyone else recently admitted to the LSE MPA program? What other programs are you waiting to hear back from and what are you major considerations? I`m waiting to hear back from the Washington DC based International Relations MA programs. I am looking to specialize in International Development. The DC schools seem to have more classes available across a variety of topics compared to LSE. I think London is a really cool city, probably more interesting than DC. I am open to pursuing my career abroad or in Washington DC. I came across the following blog post from a recent LSE student. A lot of negatives within. She chose to go to SIPA for her second year. I would probably stay both years at LSE. http://lifeofwendy.com/2011/04/lse-mpa-the-real-deal/
  4. I spoke with a student in December who is in the GHD program and he said that he had heard that the program was expanding and if I remember correctly that meant going from 20 to approximately 40 admitted students (for a total of 60 after 2 year). Dont know what the size of the applicant pool was or acceptance rate for this year.
  5. Question for those who were accepted to the Georgetown GHD program. How much international development experience do you have? Did anyone get accepted that had minimal or no development related experience? I got the impression that to be competitive for the GHD program you needed several years of intl development experience already. And I believe it is a very small program, something like 20 people accepted in its first year (last year). I think they are planning to double the incoming class of students this year to 40. I applied to MSFS Intl Dev instead of GHD because I had less international development experience, and instead international finance experience, so thought I would be more competitive for MSFS than GHD. I am planning to switch careers to intl development. Any insight you can share would be helpful. Thanks
