What about Geotechnical Engineering?
Thanks guys!
In Geotechnical Engineering I would say Columbia. Take a look at the US News Ranking of graduate school in Civil Engineering of 2013.
-
Just for curiosity... Which one is better for Civil Engineering: NYU-Poly or Columbia?
It depends on the specialty area...It seems like Columbia is good for Structural Engineering and NYU-Poly is recognized in Transportation Engineering. But I could be wrong...

Hello everybody, I've been accepted to the MS in Civil Engineering (Structural-coursework track) in the University of Washington in Seattle. Anybody knows about the job placement for this School?
Thanks!
-
Problem solved!, was a mistake from the Graduate Program Advisor.....
-
Oh man, that is crazy. I think there was a mistake while they edited the letter. I hope you can solve this issue. =). Good luck
Thanks clavodeolor, I'm getting a little worried now...
Looks like you're from Peru, so congrats on your acceptance to Stanford Southamerican Brother!...

Hello!, ...a week ago, I received an email with the acceptance to the PMP Civil Engineering program of the University of Washington. Then, in order to apply for the Chilean Government Scholarship, I requested the official acceptance letter. When I received the official letter I get suprised when I saw that the letter said "Geotechnical Engineering PMP program", even though I chose Structural Engineering in the application process and my whole research/teaching/work experience is in Structural Engineering!. Anybody now something about their PMP program?, I will be able to change my specialty area once enrolled?, any thoughts? Thanks!.

Well, it's seems that nobody has heard anything...

Does anyone has heard something of the admission results of the MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington?

Just got accepted to UCSD's structural program for master's and PhD! Though I didn't apply for a PhD. Pretty excited but worried about funding. FelipeChilean, where did you see the PhD result from UCSD? I don't see it in the results.
Congratulations evolution786!, I saw the results in the search app.
-
I called. Wanted to remain a little more anonymous than sending an email in case they get irritated
already appeared, the first Phd result from UCSD Structural Engineering
-
No I just asked when decisions will be released. I definitely considered asking about my status but I was scared too haha. Couple weeks ago the ad office said PhD decisions would be released last week but I didn't see anything on the results search, so I just hope they actually send out master's decisions this week like she said. I'm also nervous about funding since it's apparently pretty rare for master's at UCSD
Did you send an email or calling by phone?
-
evolution786, did you ask for the status of your application to UCSD?, I'm planning to do it but i'm a little scared.
-
FelipeChilean, no I haven't yet. Just spoke to the admissions office and they said master's acceptances will be out this week.
Good luck! Have you been in contact with any faculty there?
Yes, I sent an email the January 31th asking when the department begins to send the admissions results for the MS in Structural Engineering, and they just answer "Next month sometime".
-
If anyone has applied to UCSD, their grad admissions office said they'll send out PhD decisions within the week and master's within 2 weeks. UIUC said most of their decisions are made in March and some in early April.
Hello evolution786, did you receive something from UCSD so far?
