It was pretty great, despite the rude international guy sitting behind me during the panels. The constant talking at full volume kinda put me in a bad mood at the end of an otherwise interesting and promising day.

I have to decide between going to the LBJ School with no funding or stay in my job. I could probably chase down funding next year at other schools since my measurables look good, but there isn't a place I'd rather be than Austin and I won't be getting more meritous or diverse this year, so I can't expect a better turnout in 2014 =/ Tuition is dirt cheap but I'd be adding to my substantial undergrad loan debt. This whole thing raises a lot of short and long term questions I need to sort out

They typically "over-award" applicants with the expectation that about half will decline, so it's not likely.

Just received the dreaded no funding email. LBJ was the only program I applied to and the only one wanted to attend. Thought I had positioned myself well for at least some assistance given my experience and metrics, but it looks like they had other priorities.

Yeah, avoid on campus housing. You'll be surrounded by undergrads and tucked away in one of the coolest cities in the country. I'm glad to be moving back! (I hope)

I just checked. It appears to be updating throughout the day, no rhyme or reason to the order I can see (my buddy also found out around the same time). Keep your head up!

Just found out I was accepted as well! Looks like they're updating throughout the day, not that I've been checking repeatedly or anything....
