I'm heading to Usask too
-
Fyi -> College quarter is only open to undergrad students btw
-
It depends on the course. I asked specifically for the epidemiology courses and the class size is 25

Send them the letter you have and any other thing that had your grades. Do u have an online system that shows your courses and grades? Fax or email that if you do.

Thanks!! I'm waiting on their Epi MPH stream, fingers crossed! I've accepted my USask offer still as they have an amazingggggg variety of Epi courses that I would love to take. Goodluck to everyone else waiting. And to anyone going to USask, see you on August 16th
-
For what stream?

UofA is seriously a joke and the most unreliable this 2013 applicant season! I spoke to the yesterday and they said all descisions and letters will be sent out before April 30th! My beartracks says "this application requires action" and I called them to ask if they didn't get my documents. They said they did and my application is in review and I should pay no attention to bear tracks. Like how hard is it to update beartracks. I don't get it seriously!! It's super frustrating and unreliable.

Emailed UAlberta this morning and got a really kind reply lol. All admission statuses - final acceptances, waitlists and rejections will all be made by April 30th!! So 19 MORE days to wait!! Goodluck to everyone waiting
-
This is for BOTH years!!! Sorry for the mix up

Never mind lol. Found it on their website. Cap is 15-25 for Epi and 40 for health promotion. The intensive 2 weeks summer course has a cap at 100 though! Sweet ✌

Can anyone provide insight on USask mph program?? Class sizes especially?
-
Anyone else TIRED of waiting on UAlberta!! Jeezzzzz
-
Canadian applicant. Applied November. My last required document got there 1st week in Jan. it seemed like an early offer tho, so no need to worry about yours
-
I got my USask offer on Feb 12th and the official acceptance was from CGSR
-
It's different for everyone, so it all depends. I got my offer from them a week and a half after I was Dept Recommended. UofAlberta on the other hand, I'm still waiting on them. I only applied to both schools as well
-
She really likes her program there. She says the department is small but she likes it that way still. For her practicum she'll be working with Public Health Ontatio doing some health equity work. Job prospects vary really. It all depends on the individual, most aim to get practicum opportunities where they will like to work after grad. That way, you would already have made some connections. But apart from that, working with the government, the UN, NGO's , academia and some go into medical school still after. So it's more of a personal journey. Hope this helps.
-
congrats!!!! Hopefully I hear back from them soon too. I applied for Epidemiology though. My friend is in the program now and she said health promotion has the greatest number of students in the School of Public Health.
-
Great We applied to the same programs. But I only applied to UAlberta and Usask. Goodluckkk In your opinion, which do u prefer better -> the USask or UAlberta?
-
What program did you apply for ?? Like what specialization?
-
Thoughts on UAlberta vs. USask for MPH in Epi? I like that UAlberta offers a specialization route, but looking at the courses, I like that USask has really good choices for Epi electives and a variety too. Anyone else waiting to hear back from UAlberta?? The wait is making me anxious to the max Congrats to all that have been accepted

Hey all, I'm new to this. I already got 1 unconditional offer from UofSaks for the MPH program. Just waiting on UofAlberta before I make my decision. So yes offers have started going out. Goodluck everyone
