  1. Thanks! I hear via email
  2. After all this waiting, I finally got in!! I'm so happy! MFA here I come! Good luck to those of you still waiting!
  3. As long as you haven't received the official no, that means the school is keeping you as an alternate to students that are still undecided I would assume. I'm in the same boat, still on the waiting list, but I have been told there are still some things moving in the selection process. So lets keep our fingers cross.
  4. I think that as long as you haven't received the official no, there is still a possibility. In my case I was told that the students who haven't replied yet have asked for an extension. Maybe it's the same thing happening for Yale.
  5. It's so quiet these days on the forum, especially compared to the frenzie we had a few weeks ago. I guess not many of us are still waiting for answers...
  6. There seems to be a bunch more on various theme from different universities too. Has anyone seen and recommends some other good one to look at in the topic of arts and architecture? There are so many to choose from.
  7. Congrats!!
  8. No, it's for Concordia. I called after the April 15 deadline to get an idea of what was going on. You're right. Sometimes it's hard to see the positive in all this with the stress that has built up during these past months. Thanks!
  9. I learned that most 1st round of applicants have accepted their offer in the program I'm waitlisted for, and the two that haven't yet have asked for an extension... I feel my chances slipping away and it's very depressing... Yet I can't help felling a little bit of hope bubbling up, that I know will get crushed once I have the final answer after even mooore waiting...
  10. I know how you feel. The more time passes, the more I think I wont get off the waiting list... I'm trying to grab on to the little hope left, but I wish I had my answer at this point (and a positive one if possible!) Jwu, thank you to you and to eveyone as well. It's true that it's great to have people who are going through the same thing to share with.
  11. I would say go where you really want to go. 5k is not a loan that you will drag all your life. Plus you can probably find loans that you can apply along the way to cover the rest of your expenses, or even ask the school for some more funding right now. Or looking at it from another angle, what would you regret the most? Not going to Berkeley because you had a little bit more money elsewhere, or will you regret having more debts after your studies? If you were looking at 30 or 60k debts versus a full ride elsewhere, it would be a different story.
  12. I just realized... tomorrow is April 15th! I'll be looking at my email non-stop this week...
  13. How about the option of accepting one offer (since you don't seem to want to stay in your current job) You can judge once you are there if you really love it or not. And nothing stops you from applying again next year for a program change or to a new school and transfer.
  14. Csts, did they give you a waiting list order number or not?
