Good to know, thank you! I applied for the Advanced Standing option. At this point I do not think I will be accepted. But here is to trying again next year!

No...Very disappointed. Hopefully they will let us know TOMORROW..even though they said the week of the 18th.
I'm disappointed, too. The waiting game is just so awful.

I did, I applied to PSU advanced standing and didn't get in, but it was the only other school I applied to. UW is my dream school, and I feel that if I don't get in now, I'll try again next year. I was accepted in the City Year program in Seattle. So either way I'll be heading up to Washington. I'm from Texas, and I've been dying to get up there for so long! Oh! You went to undergrad at UW? What did you study?
I'm really excited to be there. I still haven't heard anything from UW- have you?

I know how you feel. Did you apply anywhere else? Ill say yes to the other school if I I don't hear back. But UW would be ideal since I'm in-state and went to undergrad there.

When I called yesterday they said we should hear back today, I have to let another school know by Sunday so I'm getting kind of antsy. Good luck to you too!
I really hope so, I would just like to put this to rest and start planning for life after graduation. What do you think you'll do if you don't hear by Sunday? That's so close and really tough, I'm sorry!

Did you apply early decision?
I did, but I didn't hear back on the 28th. I tried to call multiple times and email, but I never heard anything back. I'm guessing that my late rec letters bumped me to regular action. What about you?

Still no word, the admissions person who was looking into what happened to early decision applicants that weren't notified is out for the rest of the week! No one in the office is able to follow-up. I guess worse case scenerio, some early decision got pushed into the regular decision pool for whatever reason. The waiting continues. Makes me with they just stuck with one deadline!
Me too. This waiting game is getting really hard!

Also, the assistant said that everyone had been contact on Thursday one way or the other -- so if you weren't contacted that may actually be a good thing. I have heard of rejections going out.
Have you heard anything? I've called and emailed but I haven't heard back.

That's interesting. I'm guessing it was a fairly large pool of applicants for early decision.

I also applied early decision and did not hear anything from UW on Thursday. I called on Friday; the director of admissions emailed late Friday to say she would look into what happened and get back to me Monday. I got the impression from her assistant that this had happened to a few people. Just keep following up with them. Good luck.

Shoot, the late rec might have bumped you (I'm just guessing, I don't know for sure) but I feel like you should have at least gotten an email. I would call them on Monday and see what's up.
I mean, that's what I'm thinking at this point but I don't want to get my hopes up. I haven't heard anyone who has been rejected so I am just unsure.

Did you apply for early decision?
I did - I submitted on December 2. I know one of my references wasn't submitted until the 10th, but I don't know if that bumped me to regular action or not.
I'm just very concerned.
