I did terrible on the Math part of the GRE, they must have given me points just for sitting down. I scored in the 9% (yep you read that right). Most of my schools required the GRE be taken but didn't have a minimum score requirement. Over all I got a 297 on the GRE.

To those mentioning SIU-Carbondale. I have not heard from them yet either, I think the poster made an error.

I re-took two communication classes that I had gotten C's in (Aurl Rehab and Stuttering I) and killed them with high A's and lot's of volunteer/ research work while I was on campus. It was so worth it, just got an acceptance today!

I got a rejection. I am in state, and I called for info.

I applied to several further away schools with the plan that if I need to I will go and my husband and children will stay behind. He has a local self employed business that would take years to thive in a new location and two of are kids will be in HS, I couldn't bear to re-locate my daughter for her senior year. I figure there are weekends and Skype.

Never never give up. I am a 41 year old who has a BS in Comm. Sciences and 8 years as an SLPA and another 8 in other areas of special education. When people asked why I didn't "just go back and get my Masters", I explained how hard it is, not like other programs! I went back to school last year, cleaned up my GPA and re- applied. Just heard today that I got in to my undergraduate school. NEVER thought it could happen. Don't give up keep trying, get experience and know that no matter what, YOU are awesome!
