Thanks! I wasn't able to attend Admitted Student Day, since I live out of state. I actually choose to apply for UIUC because of the placement program. I'm sure both are great programs and I applied to those places based on what I knew from the websites, some students already in the program, etc. I would like to hear more student opinions from those places.

I don't know if this is coming too late, but I hope it helps. I read on their website that UW-Madison accepts about 100 people into their program. I also applied to UIC but have not heard back from them yet. UW-Madison released their decisions on March 1st, did you get an acceptance?

I'm going to the Midwest from California (still debating over UIUC or UW - Madison). I think it will be a great 2 years of my life to live in a different state. I've heard many people say that if you want to work with a certain population in your own community you should get an MSW near where you want to work. But if you're open to working with different types of people, I think going out of state will be a refreshing breath of air!

I am choosing between University of IL Urbana Champaign and UW Madison. It's SO nerve racking and I have to make my decision in 2 weeks. Anyone know anything about these programs and can give me their general view of how each is?
