  1. wow - I had no idea about the Sallie Mae option. Thanks! It looks like, based on your stats and post bac experience, we are in similar situations. Looking forward to next year. Best of luck with your ECU experience, I hope its all you wish for.
  2. Thanks for this, and to everyone else who responded to my question. I have to say, after the disappointment of being rejected, the supportive community I have found on this forum has been one of my rocks over the past couple of days! Re the pre-reqs, you confirmed my fears; that is that cost of out of state tuition is completely prohibitive for me. However, I live in NC, so have a few good places to choose from. I will be re taking statistics and physics at the local community college and will attempt to knock out the bulk of the pre-reqs over the next year. Did you contact your schools to ensure that the credits would transfer prior to enrolling?
  3. I don't know if this is the appropriate thread for this question, but I noticed in your signature that you took a number of distance pre-requs. May I ask how that experience was and whether or not you would recommend it?
  4. I simply got an email saying that my decision was available on apply yourself, around 10:30 this morning. According to the results page, at least several other people got rejection notices around the same time. Best of luck to you as well. Hopefully for you, if you didn't get an email, that means you are still in the running for the wait list. This career really is my dream; I will be reapplying next year, and looking into other distance options, most likely. Good luck!
  5. just got my rejection notice from WCU. Good luck to the other wait listers. This was my second application, so I'm pretty bummed. Next year I suppose.
  6. I'm in the same boat as you. It would be very nice if they could clarify their process in regards to whether or not there were people who were actually rejected, or if all non accepted applicants are wait listed. Based on what I've read on these forums, and my experience from last year, I think we are all waitlisted. Disappointing.
  7. Has anyone heard anything from Western Carolina since Thursday's email? I know a few people talked about emailing them, and relaying the response here.
  8. This is my second application to WCU, and the same process seems to be occuring as last year....I waited last year until May to learn that the process was closed; I was never technically "rejected". I am curious if anyone got a rejection notice at this point, but I have no idea. The thought of another month of waiting is making me need to take more yoga asap. It would be nice to know if we are actually in a legitimate "pile of possibilities" and not just 300+ students all in the same boat.
  9. I'm a WCU waitlister also...dying in the inside alittle bit today.
