  1. It really depends on your budget. I've lived with Trimark Properties and they are amazing, although a bit pricey due to their location (I can literally roll out of bed and be in my class in 10 minutes walking). You should check out their website. My first year I lived far away (Canopy Apartments) and had to take the bus, although the bus comes every 15-30 minutes depending on your area, it stops at every bus stop during high ridership hours so it can take anywhere from 20-45 minutes to get to your class and thats not including the 10 minutes it takes you to walk to the bus stop and the waiting time for the bus and another 5 minutes to walk from the bus stop to your actual class. So if I had class at 2, I would have to be out of my house by 1:10. It's really your personal preference though, if you have an hour a day to spare riding the bus, then go for it. The benefit is that the apartments farther away are nicer and cheaper. The apartments that are within walking distance tend to be a little more expensive and not so nice (except Trimark Properties).
  2. I'm going to the Open House in April, and I'll be apartment hunting too! Is anyone else going ? I'm looking for a roommate to go apartment hunting with, since the rent is wayyy cheaper for two bedrooms. Any current students/alumni have any input of where to live in Ithaca or what to do?
  3. I'm currently a senior at UF, but moving to Cornell for grad school this summer. I am going to miss Gainesville terribly. I moved here 4 years ago thinking I was going to hate it but have honestly loved every day here. It's a tiny town, but it's so welcoming and has AMAZING local food. The one thing that's different about this from other colleges is the Gator pride, everyone has it, and it's what makes everyone feel like family.
