  1. All I know is that they have terrible communication! I applied and still haven't heard a word from them! I know of a few people who are in the grad program and have nothing but nice things to say about it though. I'll try and see if I can get them to come to the forum and answer your question!

  2. Im confused as to how someone with a 3.25 and a 3.10 gpa got in before me honestly... it's really disheartening.

Yes, it may be disheartening, but there's no need to be rude or negative. I actually find it kind of refreshing to see people with low gpa's got accepted. To me it shows that UNT maybe focused on the person as a whole instead of simply just numbers, which I think is great! GPA/GRE scores aren't everything!  The only thing we know about those people is their GPA. We don't know if they have amazing letters of recommendation, stellar personal statements, etc. Really, there are so many factors that could have contributed to them being accepted...

  3. I saw this on the results page about Syracuse and thought it was very odd:

    • Can't believe I applied. Cousin went there and heard it is a terrible program and worst experience ever. Can not believe this school is rated so high. Terrible scholarship program also. Will not accept!!

Does this seem really fishy to anyone else? Why did this person apply there if they heard it was so terrible?!

I saw this, though I did not apply to Syracuse. I was just wondering why that person even bothered applying in the first place, only to get accepted and trash the school afterwards. I don't get it...

  4. Ahh I used the wrong term haha I have a fever right now so I am going to blame it on that!! They do their admissions in waves until their program is full. So they might send out the first wave next week and give them 2 weeks to respond. Then they would send out the second wave and give them two weeks to reply and so on until all available spots are filled. I got rejected the first week of may last year.. So it went on for a while!

Ahh, ok, I see! Well hopefully both of us are in the first wave =) *fingers crossed*

And yikes, you didn't hear from then until May?! Wow... talk about stringing a person along.

I'm just really anxious to hear back from schools since I got rejected at my undergrad university. I'm feeling really discouraged at this point. I feel like it's all just a numbers game. =/

Anyway, I'm blabbering! lol. Thanks for the info and I hope your fever breaks soon!! :)
