Typically Scholarships are stipends you receive that are used for personal expenses. Grants are typically associated with research cost. Without knowing more about the scholarship you mentioned it is difficult to know for sure though. I would email the funding agency (and your graduate office) and ask.

I figure I should let those at Waterloo know that the results have been sent to the departments. I just heard from my department (Geography) that I got PGS-D3.
