It wasnt the offer from GPS, it was the offer from the department. Either way I declined to attend UofT Good luck!!! McGill is extremely slow at communicating.

I received an offer of admission from McGill MPH today, I am unsure of whether this program is better than UofT's MPH in epidemiology...is anyone in the program or have any advice? I would really appreciate it. Good luck to everyone

I didnt hear from the actual department but a professor emailed me saying that he viewed my application and would like to discuss a potential project over the phone or in person.

I also heard back from Mac, got into their Master of Science in Global Health program. The deadline to accept is May 23rd but i'll be rejecting before then to attend UofT. Good luck !!

Thanks. I also got the email from the global health team first, but I have not yet received any email from the epidemiology department. Should I be worried?

To those of you who were just accepted into UofT epi with the global health emphasis, did you recieve a formal email about epi? I recieved an email from Dr. Jackson congratulating me on acceptance to epi and to tell me i got into the global health emphasis and I emailed back to ask her when the deadline to accept is because I havent actually recieved an email from Uoft Epi yet...and she apologized saying I need to wait for that letter first and that I was recommended for admission. Is this only me? Very confused..

That part made me wary as well! However, I think I will still be accepting the global health emphasis - it seems far too interesting to pass up on.

Unfortunately, I ended up declining because they didn't end up extending the deadline and I wasn't ready to commit to it without being completely sure about it. Also, I recieved an email from uoft epidemiology today as well, to complicate matters.

Can anyone weigh in on the benefits of an MSc in epidemiology versus an MPH? I applied to both programs at Queens, and got accepted. The deadline to offer epidemiology was tomorrow but since they told me on April 17, they have agreed to an extension. I understand that they're different paths, one obviously research oriented and en route to PhD but if anyone has any personal experiences relating to this or if they are in the programs, I would really appreciate if you could share. Thank you so much!

Hey, did you happen to recieve another email from McGill regarding the MPH? I posted earlier about being rejected, based on it saying refused under my status on the website (I hadnt gotten any emails). Then I received an email apologizing because they might have sent out a letter of refusal and it was a mistake and they have placed me on the waiting list. I wonder if this has happened to other people too...very confusing and I don't know what to expect from them anymore.

Which program did you apply to? I was also refused, for MPH, but did not receive an email. I found out through the website.

No, they said it could take several more weeks. I doubt it will come in April, which is unfortunate because I have to respond to Queens offer by April 30th. Not sure what to do at all

I was waitlisted for epi at UofT. I found out about being waitlisted after emailing them to ask about the status of my application. I didn't receive an invitation to the open house, BUT in the same response back, the person wrote " As an FYI, you should also have received e-mails from the Graduate Division about an open-house on April 19th – that too is a good opportunity to ask questions. " So apparently, I should have received an email, but did not!

I haven't. Still waiting to hear back for both their epidemiology and MPH program.

To those who were accepted to UofT epidemiology, could you please tell when you have to accept the offer by? I was just told that I am wait-listed for the program, and any information from you would be so helpful.

I also just received an offer from queens MPH !!! so happy! still have not heard back from UofT, McGill & McMaster.
