  1. I'm not really sure, I was expecting we would get a broad information package with our official letter explaining some general things about the university (facilities, accommodation) in addition to stuff about the courses. I'm looking at the required courses on the website and one of them has to be taken in second year, and we need at least seven required courses to apply for the practicum (I plan to do it in the summer). I'm thinking about doing at least 8 required courses with two related electives first year, and then 3 additional electives with the two remaining required courses in second year. But you don't have to do that, I think you can spread it out further (max 2.5 years for full time students?) Also have you looked at the tuition? because I know the program tuition is listed but some people might opt to take more than 5 courses related to their area of interest, so would the tuition be calculated in terms of credit hours?
  2. really? when I logged into the rez portal it just gave me five options, I clicked on grad house but it was never asked anything about the type of accommodation. Also have you talked to the residence office about early accommodation? because all mph students need to be there by mid august.
  3. I also applied for Grad house
  4. For those going to Sask is anyone staying in Grad House?
  5. I'm not sure, but I'll probably stay on campus. College quarter looks really nice, but its apartment style and its a bit of walk to the health science side of campus (which could be a big problem when its snowing).
  6. are you out of province? if so let me know what you're doing with the residence stuff.
  7. I just got accepted to usask through email, and they said that the official letter was in the mail. I will most likely accept the offer.
  8. I was just wondering if you're a in province or out of province student? do they sent the official letter through express mail or regular post?
  9. I think I'm at the same stage as you, I got department recommended - conditional (final transcript needed, I'm in my last semester of undergrad). I also got an email from Stephanie Wong saying "This letter is to inform you that we have recommended you for admission to our Master of Public Health Program at the University of Saskatchewan, which starts August 2013."
  10. I also applied to Usask for the epi stream. I got department recommended as soon as they received my last letter, which was just before the deadline, but they sent me an email confirming that I got department recommended just last week. Still waiting anxiously for CGSR
  11. Congratulations half way there! I'm in the same situation waiting for the CGSR review.
  12. No it was department recommend. They might just be asking the international students to contact admissions, to get more of an idea on their educational background.
  13. are we suppose to get an email after department recommended? I think we only get it after the college of graduate studies reviews the application, and considering that they have to review all graduate applications its going to take some time to get a formal offer or email.
  14. I applied on March 6th to Usask MPH - epi. Last document received on March 22nd. Decision made and department recommended on March 22nd.
