Long time lurker, but had to respond to this one. I'm in the same boat! Waitlisted at my toptop choice. I got into a few other amazing programs and narrowed it down to one and the one I'm waitlisted on. Its so stressful! I know there are people waitlisted for the spot at my second choice, but I don't want to give it up yet and I feel bad if I'm going to end up holding a spot and never taking it. I've also been speaking with my potential advisor a lot and I love them and feel so bad for waiting so long. :\
And then there's the possibility that I'll just never get off the waitlist and get rejected, lol
