Just in case somebody else runs into this I emailed them and they told me that they start reviewing applications as soon as they are submitted. I guess if you apply early enough you can know their decision by April 15. Probably too late for me but maybe somebody else can use this.

Hey, I'm having some trouble understanding Northwestern's application process. Every other school I've applied to has has a deadline in December, February, or maybe early March, but Northwestern's isn't until May 1. This stinks, because I have to let the other schools know my decision for them before then. Am I reading the deadline right? Anybody else experienced this?
