I also got this info for France. Can anyone speak about this? Is it possible to travel while on Fulbright? Thanks!

Make a pro and con list. In the end, only you can decide!

What happened to the spreadsheet? All the France notifications got deleted.

I want to get my recommendation writers gifts to show how much I appreciate their support and help throughout the application process. Do you think this would be cheesy or is it a good idea?

I applied and heard back yesterday that I received the grant.

For those applying in the future: We heard back today. Congrats to those who received the fellowship!

Do you know when we find out if the country website does not say? Do we have to wait for our acceptance letter to come in the mail?

Thank you!! It's a great achievement to be made an alternate as well!

First of all-- thank you everyone for the congratulations! I hope everyone here hears some good news as well And it was from the research grant in Paris!!! I can't wait to live there again! Also the Fulbright advisor from my university told me that someone else from my college got into France ETA, so I suppose they heard back as well! Good luck everyone!

Anyone else here applying to France?

The country that I'm applying to only has research/study grants. There is no difference between the two. However, the length of the grant is different based on if you are study or research. For research grants it is 8 months, and for study grants it is 10 months.

Hey all... I have a question. I applied and was recommended for a research grant. However, my mentor advised me that I should also get a master while I'm abroad to advance my education. So after applying for Fulbright and intending to do solely research, I also applied to a few master programs (in the same city as where I would be doing my Fulbright). I recently got accepted to one of the programs, and I could do my proposed Fulbright project for the master thesis. Do any of you know if it is possible to switch from a research grant to a research and study grant? They also offered to write a letter for Fulbright to confirm my acceptance. Thanks, Neurona
