Hi all I have been offered admission for pursuing a masters degree in computer science in University of California Irvine (no funding) and in University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (full fee waiver + TA). The rankings for UCI are way better, but it is also very expensive. Given this situation, which would be a better choice? How are the chances of getting admitted for PhD at the top universities after a masters at UWM. Also, is it possible to do a masters in UWM and still get a job at the best computer science companies? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. PS: I did not major in computer science in my undergrad. But I obtained my undergrad degree from one of the best institutes in my country.
