I e-mailed Sarah Adams at UVA, and I was not accepted. It sounds like all of the decisions have been finalized.

I still haven't heard from UVA, and the the most recent e-mail I received, which was on the 12th of March, made it sound like I might not hear anything until the first week of April. I think it's really bizarre that they've notified some people of their status (i.e., admit/wait list/rejection), but not others.

I wouldn't bother calling them. I e-mailed Sarah Adams a few days ago, and she told me the following:

I checked my status, and it also says "not admitted." 0/2 so far.

Me too!

My wife just called, and told me that I received a letter from Indiana today. I have a feeling it will be a rejection, but I guess I'll find out when I get home.

I received the same letter. Has anyone heard anything else from Syracuse?

Thanks for clearing this up. I think my interests would be classified under philosophical theology. Though, more specifically, I'm interested in Post-Kantian religious thought, especially Kierkegaard (I'm writing my MA thesis on SK). I also have an interest in James, Barth, Heidegger, and Wittgenstein. I'm not sure how much our interests overlap, but I've applied to the following programs. Religious Studies/Religion: UVA, Indiana, Syracuse, and Iowa Philosophy: UC Riverside, Georgetown, New Mexico, Fordham, and U of Calgary

Your comment is somewhat confusing. Are you saying the faculty contacted you for an interview after you submitted your application, or that you arranged a campus visit? These are potentially two very different things. I'm still waiting to hear from UVA, Indiana, Syracuse, and Iowa. I've also applied to a number of philosophy programs.
