  1. I would go with your Undergrad school waiving your tuition. I am in the exact same boat as you with a different program (Master of Social Work). I am choosing to go with the school that will allow me to graduate debt free with a similar education as the other school. I have had debts linger for awhile and do not want to experience that again. If you are comfortable in your surroundings and are familiar with faculty, you may not get the same experience at the new school. As much as I also want to try a new school out, and the new school carries more prestige, at the end of the day, I want to get ahead with finances rather than have to worry about how to pay off debts upon graduation. Good luck!!!
  2. Hi all; I have been accepted into the University of Torontos Master of Social Work (MSW) Program and Yorks MSW program. I am having a very difficult decision deciding what program will provide the best opportunities for employment and skill building. I have heard that U of T is prestigous and has many affiliations with certain hospitals and organizations in the GTA. However, it is hard to decide when York is offering full funding to cover tuition and more! I also got accepted into the Couple and Family Therapy program at Guelph University. I am also drawn to this as my end goal is to provide counselling services to clients in a hospital or school board setting. However, it appears that more job postings cater towards an MSW degree. Are there any graduates from either program who can shed light on their decision making process? Anybody else going through a similar problem? Please share your thoughts and experiences! Thank you!!
