  1. Sounds to me like you really believe that you don't want to be an attorney, but don't really know what you should do instead. If you don't even "have a feel for the subject [philosophy]" why do you think this plan will turn out any better than law school? Maybe getting another degree isn't the answer! At least take a few baby steps before committing to something you might regret all over again. [/soapbox] On another note: if what you are really interested in is continental philosophy, you might consider taking some English lit/cultural studies type courses to see if you prefer that general style of doing "philosophy". Plus, I did 50 odd credits in upper division philosophy, and I honestly learned a lot more about continental philosophy from my 16 English lit credits (obviously this will vary depending on where you intend to study).
  2. Are you sure that you want it to be anonymous? I would be (irrationally?) afraid of someone joining just to steal another person's work and submit it as their own sample . And I don't know about anyone else, but I would not feel competent to judge the content of work outside a few select areas (basically Normative Ethics, Free Will, Analytical/historical work on Nietzsche, and maybe some topics in Feminist Philosophy and Mind). So you might need to filter it by area. Anyway, I would like to do this! My sample is on desire-satisfaction theories of the good.
  3. So I just signed up for the paper GRE in October and I realized that I have no idea where in the college I selected the test will be taking place (IE a room and building number). A cursory search of the college website doesn't reveal anything; do I have to contact someone to figure out where it will be? I already have to take a two hour bus trip to get to the city where the college is located and I have never been there before, so it would be nice if I didn't have to run frantically through the halls on test day searching for a marked door or whatever (especially since it is at 8 am O_O)! Also: this site has been very useful for me. A cursory thanks!
