  1. Sorry, I have no idea! Good luck.

Great information ! SOOO helpful! Would you happen to know if it is very likely to get contacted by phone, the website says email, but the person who said they got accepted said it was via phone. I was thinking maybe top prospects get contacted via phone.

  2. Has anyone contacted schools they haven't heard back from yet? I know that the process of finalizing admissions extends as late as April but would it be advisable to check in on the status of one's application now, or to just sit back and hold tight?

  3. Still anxiously waiting! And according to the results search, no one's claimed an acceptance or rejection for  the Cinema and Media Studies PhD program yet. Someone has been accepted into the Master's program yesterday though.

    Has anyone heard from UCLA?

  4. Thanks billthekid! I ended up on the waitlist, but at least NYU had a fast turnaround, and it doesn't totally mean a rejection (even though it really does sting like one).

So I just discovered the "Search Results" page on this website--that's where everyone's getting their information! According to this database, of the schools I've applied to, people have heard back from UCSB, UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, Indiana (got a rejection today), and Brown...

  5. So many views, yet so little posts! Okay I'll stop lurking in the hopes that more people might start sharing what they've been hearing...

I've applied to UCSB, UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, Northwestern, Brown, NYU, Indiana and Concordia. Like others here, I was shortlisted for admission by Irvine and had a Skype interview. I am told that they will be notifying admits at the beginning of March. I also received a rejection from UCSB by email yesterday.

    Good luck all!
