  1. Thanks! From what I've heard and read, results certainly do seem to vary from school to school. I suppose the best way to increase admissions chances while interviewing is to act natural, interested, and of course polite. Two of my top schools said they were impressed with the application, so I'm taking that as a good sign. But of course, until then all we can really do is wait and see.
  2. Hello! What does being invited to interview mean for admissions chances? As an interviewee, are you only "halfway admitted", or are you basically in? I've been invited to interview at a few of my top schools so far, but I'm being careful about getting my hopes up too soon. Any comments or stories of personal experience would be greatly helpful. Thanks
  3. Hello, I am currently an undergrad and I'm applying for fall 2014 PhD programs in Virology. For the past year and a half I have been working on a research project in a lab-- I've generated a lot of data and am in the process of writing a paper for publication, but it likely won't be ready for submission by the time my grad school applications are in. Should I mention on my CV that I have a publication in preparation, or should I leave it to my letter writers to mention this? Thanks for your suggestions
