Where should I look for sociolinguistics PhD Programs? I know about Georgetown, Stanford and Penn. Also UT Austin has linguistic anthropology, which might fit my research interests - language ideology, especially in the Arab World - but I would prefer a program housed in a linguistics department so I have more theoretical background. I am interested in language attitudes and code-switching more broadly. Thank you in advance for any information you can give!!
