Hi, Im in my final year of Electronics and Communication Engineering from NITK, Surathkal, India(Ranked 10th in the country for engineering). My stats are as follows:- GPA: 8.97/10 (rank 6 out of 74) GRE: quant=800, verbal=780 awa=5.0 TOEFL: 119/120 Dept Applying to: Electrical Engineering Field of Interest: Information Theory, Error Control Coding and Applications in Wireless Networks Research: Summer 09 Under Prof. B Sundar Rajan, Dept of Electrical Communication Engg., Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in Error Control Coding. Work Experience: Summer internship under the countrywide agent for Alcatel Lucent Telecommunication Switching Systems Extra-curricular: Head of Literary,Stage, Debate Club, Member of Institution of Engineers. I will be applying for an MS to the following colleges: 1.Stanford 2.Michigan Ann Arbor 3.U Illinois Urbana Champaign 4.Georgia Institute of Technology 5.Carnegie Mellon University 6.Texas A &M 7.Arizona State University 8.Penn State University 9. UC Berkeley I am willing to pay tuition, although aid would be welcome. Could anyone please advise me on which colleges I should apply to/evaluate my chances? Thanks!
