  1. Dear friends, Who ever is reading this, please advice. I am an international student in US in a PhD program. I also did my MS in US. I have been 2 semesters in a PhD program in physics. I was a good student throughout my UG and MS but the PhD has been hell. I am unable to keep up with the 3.0 GPA, I was never in this situation before. I have worked very hard in coursework but can't get to the 3.0 anyhow. Now I am on the edge of losing my TAship. My adviser has no problems guiding my doctoral research (in which I have made some progress) but GPA has become a problem. I really can't self-fund myself. When I started my PhD, I felt like the current university wasn't the right one but I thought of it as an adjustment issue (tons of travelling) and thought maybe it will get better with time. But it hasn't. It has become more and more stressful financially/academically. Now I am thinking of getting out of here and finding a more suited university, making a new start but I don't have a clue if I should re-apply, try transferring or something else. Please reply. Thanks a million.
