By the way, when I say rejected, I mean REALLY rejected. As in they would rather sacrifice their first-born child than fund my dissertation. I have a feeling that they only sent obvious top-of-the-pile and bottom-of-the-pile notifications this quickly, and if you're in the middle of the pack you might have to wait longer. Good luck!

I applied in sociology and got rejected earlier this week

Any news here? I'm curious if anyone else applied to the October/November deadline for sociology. The panel supposedly met on December 12, so when do you think notifications might go out?
