Hi,
This is my first post here. I am a foreign medical graduate who came to the US 5 years ago in the hope of finding a residency position. By the time I got here things weere starting to get really competitive. I applied several times but was unable to match in a program. I did not have a green card so I continued to volunteer as a research assistant. I applied again but it didnt help.
I started doing clinical attachments with physicians to boost my cv, and did that for about an year and a half, but falied to match after that as well.
Now I have finally got my greencard. I have started working part time at a local grocery store and have decieded to get back to studies. I got accepted into an MPH program. I want to increase my chances to get into a reisdency , possibly Internal Medicine.
Can anyone relate with me? or does anyone know someone who has done an MPH and then got accepted into a residency of their choice.
I will be 10 years post grad by the time I graduate from MPH.
