Just starting this one for Oxford admits (Fall 2014)! Who has gotten offers already? Will you be joining? I was offered a seat to study MSc in Computer Science.

Hi Stellastar, I don't think you need to worry a lot. I actually had a similar GRE score as you are expecting, and my GPA (when converted) falls at 3.0. Although I studied at the best university in my country, my undergraduate major was in Architecture (not Computer Architecture, the building science). But I somehow got interested in Computer Science - was a good programmer - and one thing led to another. Just last week I received my accept from University of Oxford for a MSc in Computer Science. So, do not lose heart. Do apply!

Hi Decaf, Have you applied for the January deadline? I had applied for the November deadline, and was asked 4 questions (similar to what you wrote) in December. And was eventually interviewed by telephone. And last week I received my accept, so you needn't worry about your chances being slim. According my understanding, it's more like a shortlisting process. It might be so that they send an acceptance to amazing candidates directly, skipping these two steps. (Although I have no concrete proof of that!) But for everyone else, it's pretty much how it works! Good luck with your application!
