You will probably get more info in the next week or two. A number of grants are handed out in March, so most profs are waiting on these grants before sending out official acceptances and funding packages.
Great, thanks for the info! I was worried I had missed something lol

Hi everyone - I attended the psychology recruitment weekend for UBC in February. Has anyone recieved their official acceptance letters yet/instructions how to accept the offer?
-
Has anyone heard from the developmental program at Harvard? I had an interview at the beginning of February, and haven't heard anything since (or seen anything in the results search).

Has anyone heard/know anything about the psychology program at Harvard (especially developmental)?

Thought I'd join in on this too . I applied to primarily developmental programs, but I often complemented my application with the cognitive programs. So far, I've heard back from Brown (Feb. 7) and Berkeley (Feb. 10 and 11), though I had an informal phone interview at Northwestern.
Has anyone heard anything from UT Austin or Michigan-Ann Arbor?
Would you mind messaging me the name of your PI at Brown?

Is it about the program in Psychological Development at NYU Steinhardt?
No - It's technically the cognition and perception program with a developmental concentration at NYU

I've heard back from most of the schools I've applied to, which includes the University of Delaware (Jan 30-31), UC Davis (Feb 3), UC San Diego (Feb 6-8), the University of Maryland - College Park (Feb 20-21, but I'm going on Feb 16-17), and the University of Washington (Feb 21-22).
Still waiting on UCLA (according to their website, interviews are Feb 7-8), but at this point I'm assuming rejection. Doesn't matter too much to me, since I have interviews at some other great schools. I'm also waiting for UVA, but I am/was fairly confident about getting an interview there.
Right now Delaware, Washington, and UVA are my top choices. The PI at Delaware really won me over on our phone interview, but I've heard only great things about UW.
I'm glad to hear you've heard such good things at UW

Since there are a bunch of these for other areas floating around, I thought I would make one for those applying to developmental psychology programs. If you are applying for Fall 2014, maybe post what schools you've heard from, when the interview weekends are scheduled (since lots of people don't include this in the results search), and any other info you have about a program?
So far I've heard from University of Illinois (interview January 31), University of British Columbia (interview February 7-8), NYU (interview February 21) and the University of Washington (interview also Februay 21-22).
I'm just waiting to (hopefully) hear from Harvard. Does anyone know when they might be sending out interview invites or if they have an interview weekend scheduled?

Hi! The PI just e-mailed me this morning to invite me to the interview weekend on Feb 21-22. And yes, it's the University of Washington in Seattle.
Congrats! Would you mind PM-ing me the PI's name?

I emailed UBC (I applied to their social/personality) and the secretary simply said that if we make it to the shortlist our POI will contact us. She did say that the interview will be around Feb 14th. I'm guessing it will be similar to the developmental division.
Thanks for the info! My application was due December 1st, so I thought they would make decisions earlier than the other programs I applied to. I guess not!

I applied to the developmental psych program at UBC. Does anyone know when they send our interview invites/if that has already happened?

I saw on the results page that a couple people who applied to the cognition and perception program at NYU had been contact for interviews. Any idea whether all invitations have gone out already?

I used the UHaul U-Box service to move from Ontario to British Columbia. It was expensive (I'm not sure how the price compared to driving a truck yourself, since I don't drive) but worth it to bring everything I wanted. I've lived on my own for many years, so I already had everything I needed for an apartment and didn't want to buy things again. Plus I had stuff I wouldn't have wanted to get rid of, even if it was cheaper to replace.
My experience with UHaul was decent. I had to contact the branch in Ontario several times to finally get my reservation correct and to confirm that everything I needed would be available. Actually packing the box went really well. It was packed full, so nothing moved around and everything arrived safely (including furniture, tv, computers/monitors, art, mirrors). I used the truck delivery service in BC, so they brought the box right to my new place. Slight problem with the delivery - they let me know late in the process that the day I booked for delivery wasn't going to be an option. But after rescheduling movers and the use of my building's elevator, everything worked out fine. Overall, it was a good option if you aren't able to drive/move everything yourself.
