Hoping someone may have some advice here. I interviewed for a Social Psych PhD program in late February. I was admitted to the Masters program but turned it down in favor of another school. I flew out for the interview and was told I'd be reimbursed for a portion of the flights. Since then, I have turned in my reimbursement documents (via email and mail) and followed up with the department now 5 times, both with the grad coordinator and my would-be POIs, and have gotten the silent treatment. No one will answer my emails. Any advice on how to proceed? Perhaps who to reach out to next, etc? I really feel like I'm being stiffed because I did not accept....

Let's play the game of, "What happened last year?" Anyone know?
Someone posted dates and times that it went up in previous years a ways back. In the 40-50 page range I think...

I've watched every season except the last one (caught up on netflix but the last season was already underway). Is the season overall good? I feel like the show really went downhill in seaosn 8.
Yeah, I agree. But I feel like 9 finally started to pick up and closing plotlines around halfway through. I didn't hate the ending, but I suspect it's because I heard rumors that turned out to be true and thus was expecting them. Gave me time to prepare. Given the development of HIMYM over the years, I felt it was actually rather fitting.

One of my POIs said that the GRE scores are what they use to eliminate people in the first round. So lets say they have a 150 cut off point, anyone scoring below that will not be considered. But after you pass the first round, its your personal statement that speaks the loudest and the gre will only be used as a tie breaker if there are two eqully strong applicants.
Interesting way of looking at it. I have pretty promising GRE scores, but I also took the Psych GRE, as a few schools recommended it, and didn't do as well as I expected I would. So far I have heard nothing positive from the few schools I sent it to. Seems arbitrary that GRE scores of all things should be used as a cutoff when grades and/or research fit would logically seem to be a lot more relevant. Also, feeling like it was a bad move to take and send scores from the damn Psych GRE when people who haven't taken it are getting interviews. Oh well!
Nonetheless, congrats to them!

I saw a lot of people posting rejection of social psych at Michigan. Did you get an email?
Yes indeed! Nicely worded, but to the slightly dream-crushing point.
Me too, and ditto to Stroop. At least we know now...

Does anyone know if all of Stanford's invitations have been extended? Haven't received a response from them after contacting by phone and email.

Has anyone heard from NYU Social yet?
I haven't yet either.
-
anyone also waiting for UC Berkeley today??
Me too. Sad news on sparrowbirdie's response though! Hope they aren't done!

Anyone know what's going on with Stanford Social Psych? I see a few people on results got interviews just under the Psych general category, one under social psych. Looks like they went out on 14th/15th. Hoping they're not done inviting

Waiting: check gmail, check spam, check gradcafe...
After a week of this, I downloaded GoogleTalk so I spend less time just staring at an empty inbox and can still talk to friends without doing so. I still continue to repeat the above.
Pretty sure I'm going to develop an ulcer from this.
