I applied to the MS and called the office to receive an unofficial rejection. My status on the website still says submitted though. Oh well, I was lucky enough to be offered full funding at Stanford which I am taking.

Does anyone else's status still say submitted?

I just talked to the admissions office. They said since I haven't heard by this point it is because I haven't been admitted and I will receive a formal rejection email by the end of the day.

Sounds like just about every one here just applied to for the MS degree (myself included). Did anyone apply to the M.Eng, MS/PhD, or the PhD program?

Does anyone know if schools like Berkeley ever make offers after April 15th? It wouldn't make much sense to me if they do, but then again maybe they assume if you really want to go there you'll wait that long to find out.

Well my last name starts with an "M" so if that is true it looks like they still have a ways to go

I'll be accepting my Stanford offer on Monday assuming I don't hear from Berkeley over the weekend. I think its fair to say we've waited as long as we can.

Yep mine has said that since early dec. Also I know that Berkeley has a strictly enforced enrollment cap. My hunch is that they are at the point where they admit someone every time someone else declines an offer. I've had a really difficult time getting in touch with the office although I did speak with someone on the phone on Thu. I told him I had expressed interest in Energy Science and Technology and he seemed surprised that I hadn't heard anything yet. Then when I gave him my name he informed me my application is still under review.

Hi all. I'm starting this topic so that those applicants who are still waiting to hear from Berkeley can discuss their experience thus far. Please feel free to post below stating which degree you applied for, if you have been in touch with the department at all and what you know (if anything) about when all final decisions will be made.

Is anyone here still wait to hear from Berkeley. I called yesterday and give them my name and was told my application is still under review. I'm really surprised they still are making decisions this close to the April 15th deadline.

I'm still waiting to hear from Berkeley, although I highly doubt I'll be accepted with funding at this point. Assuming I do get rejected from Berkeley, I'll accept my Stanford offer.
