It's great to see another person going to PSU! Did you get any offers for funding in the letter they sent? I didn't and am still waiting on them to process my financial aid package. I've heard that they usually give good funding/aid, but not knowing is freaking me out!

According to the APA guide, for MS in psychology only 5% receive funding.

I think I'm spending my first year going on loans with the hope of assistanships for the second year.

Are you taking the thesis route or not? Are you international going there or American? Inbox me if you want

I just got accepted to Pittsburg State University Masters in Clinical Psychology program. Anyone else get accepted there? I haven't received a financial package yet, but hopefully, they will give me a decent offer so I can go. I only have one other program I am waiting to hear from and I have been waitlisted there.

I'd totally disagree. If you're going to make a life altering decision and need more than a week to make your choice, you should wait as long as you need to. I feel for those on the waitlist, but I don't think it's not proper etiquette.

Exciting! There are quite a few profs here working on phenomenology, so even if you don't end up working with Jeff (as lewin has stated...somewhat jokingly?) then Cor and Don are good bets. Haha, no worries! I'm actually doing my MA (Social and Cultural--what a coincidence!--but none of the profs you mentioned) at the U of A right now, so I thought I'd ask out of curiosity. EP... do you mean evolutionary psychology? Or experimental psychology?

Wow, what a weird coincidence So nice to see!  Sorry, I should of been clear, for me EP psych is Existential-phenomenological

I listed Jeff Schimel, Cor Baerdveldt, and Jennifer Pasey.  I don't have high hopes, nobody responded to my emails. I figured I already paid so many as well apply.

I've applied to a couple of MA/MS programs, but the last due date is March 1st so I know I'll be waiting for awhile.  I just keep checking the results page to gauge when people typically heard from the schools I've applied to.

Social and Cultural Psychology, they have a couple of profs with an EP focus which is something I'm really interested in. How about you?

I applied to Alberta and Laurentian, which both has 2014 application deadlines so I feel like I'll be sitting waiting for a while.
