  1. Congratulations!! And just out of curiosity, did you receive it through your primary e-mail address or your ualberta one?
  2. Does anyone have insight on the admissions process for UofT? It sounds like many of you heard back yesterday (re: Health Promotion), but is that it as far as offers go? Do they send all offers at the same time, or will another "batch" be sent out another day? Just trying to give myself hope here haha...
  3. Yup, no word so far.
  4. Congratulations all of you!! I am so envious!
  5. Yes it is! I really love their philosophy. However, seeing as they only accept 10%, and judging by the quality of applicants on here, I think my chances are probably a bit slim. I would absolutely love to be there, though. How about you?
  6. Yes, unfortunately! What a wait it's proving to be.
  7. Good to know! Thank you for the information!
  8. UofT Health Promotion doesn't appear to do interviews, nobody in the results search has ever posted about having one. A couple(?) more weeks until we know!
  9. Congratulations! I have yet to hear from either, so good and bad news alike should be on its way for the rest of us - thanks for the heads up!
  10. It sounds like they only just got started reviewing applications last week, so we may have a bit longer to wait this year. That being said, I have no clue how long the process takes. April is finally upon us though... This is the month of truth! Fingers crossed!
  11. Thank you for the heads up!!
  12. Congrats to those receiving offers! Exciting times!!
  13. Yikes! What are the chances they'll increase the class size to 40+? Not that a couple more spots will help my chances, but...
  14. I applied to Health Promotion at UofT and they seem to have similar timelines, so I imagine we'll hear back in April. And I think they offer admission to about 10% of applicants...? I could be wrong though.
  15. Me three! But I honestly didn't expect to hear anything until April anyway, that seems to be the standard. We will get our answers, for better or worse, soon enough
  16. Any idea on how the process works? Do they send out one batch of letters now and another later? Or are they continually sending out letters of acceptance/rejection? I haven't heard anything from them yet, good or bad.
  17. http://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php ^ Results search.
  18. On their Admissions Requirements page they ask for "at least a 3.0 or B in your last 2 years of study", but obviously the higher the better. And yes I did, but no point comparing just yet though. We don't know what's considered competitive because nobody's been accepted yet haha
  19. Pretty sure it's standard to hear back between April-June, but in some cases as early as March.
  20. A lot of people (myself included!) are applying for the first time. Don't despair, and certainly don't assume the worst! We put our best foot forward in our applications, and now all we can do is wait for the verdict. In the meantime, try to stay positive!
  21. We are in the same boat! It's a bit of a battle. But now it's out of our hands, so all we can do is wait patiently. I'm sure this thread will come alive again once letters are being sent out though, so we'll know when to start checking our mailboxes!
  22. I wouldn't worry about it, especially if they've received confirmation. UofA seems to have a pretty archaic way of submitting documents, with everything being sent to one e-mail address. It'll take them a long time to manually confirm that they've received everything. As long as you've done your part by submitting your documents on time, I wouldn't stress about it. I've applied to the MPH programs at UVic, UofA (Health Promotion, on-campus) and UofT (Health Promotion). I'm so anxious! My top choice is UofT, but of course, admission is "extremely competitive." Trying not to get my hopes up, but it's difficult. Hope that nobody had any complications with their applications, and now we wait...! Good luck everyone!
