You can consider apply to hedge funds and prop trading companies. E.g. Jane Street, Hudson River, Getco, ... Apparently try not to mention your PhD plan. The good things is the work at systematic trading companies are very much about statistics. Good luck.

Hi there, I'm new here. I am the one who got an offer from Minnesota. The letter is pretty generic, sent out by the director of Graduate Studies. The only non-generic thing was they give me an addition small scholarship for academic performance. Anything else let me know. Also, does anyone know when Berkeley and Stanford send out offers?
