[International PhD student - 221(g) issue]

Anyone of you faced the 221(g) issue while applying for your visa? I have been issued one. Need some assurances that all will be fine

 

Submitted all the requested documents. Now the waiting game begins.

Anyone who knows anyone, who lived at the Canyon Crest Family Housing?? Need reviews about the place. Cheap considering rent but what about other factors like freedom and guest policies?

Hi all,

 

I will be joining UC-Riverside as a PhD student beginning Fall 14. I am married and will be moving in along with my wife. I am supported by a TA/GSR stipend which will be around 1800 after taxes. My wife won't be working as she will be on a F2 visa. 

 

I am worried whether will my stipend be able to support both of us? 50% of my stipend will be spent on rent. And sharing a house with a roommate isn't an option. 

 

Has anyone of you been in a similar position? I am on the waiting list for on campus family housing which will bring down the rent to 650 per month but that's only after one or two semesters. 

 

Can anyone give me an idea about what my total expenses would be around?

Hey everyone,

MS&E applicant checking in. Has anyone here applied to UC Davis's Chemical and Materials Sci Eng. department? If so, has your application status changed on their website? Mine still shows that all my materials have been received (transcripts, GRE scores, etc), but no indication if my application has been sent to the adcom for review and a decision.

I have applied to UC Davis Chemical department. I have with me just a link which was sent by the department a few weeks after application, where i need to enter my DOB and I am taken to a page where I can see all the documents that they have received. But no where can I see the status of my application.
