I just was offered a $30,000/yr fellowship to SFAI. They want me to tell them my decision by the 26th, but I'm still waiting to hear back from my top choice school (MassArt). WHY ARE DECISIONS HARD!
Do you guys think if I called/emailed MassArt and told them my situation, and that I received an offer from another school, but that they're my first choice school, if they could tell me if a decision has been made? (I know that sentence structure sucks, but I'm too anxious to fix it.) -
^as in, I know it's month/day/year but which month/day/year? Birthday? Current date? I've tried a few but they didn't work..
It's your birthday. What got me is that your id is from the email that confirmed your application was received---not the id# from your application receipt.

Hey Y'all!How are you logging into the cca portal? I get the instructions, but where to do you find your "id number"? And is the mmddyy your birthday? Tried a few different combinations but nothings working for me..Thanks!!NVM I figured it out, "Application under review". Feels like a bad sign....
Anyone done this who applied for Photo at CCA?
Thanks for posting Yellow Magnet!! That login procedure worked perfect for me too! Mine also says "congratulations- Admitted" no financial aid informatino either. I can't believe it. I applied in past years and didn't get in anywhere so I am feeling very relieved today finally. Yellow Magnet, did you get any emails regarding an "award letter" from SAIC being mailed to you ( I haven't recieved anything re: acceptance and I tried calling today and all they could say were that decision and award letters are in transit).
San Jose State: Accepted 2/22 via phone
OTIS: Accepted 2/25 via postal service + 10,000 scholarship
SFAI: notified by email 1/29 for 2/22 interview, accepted 3/6/14 via email
CCA: notified by email 2/5 for 2/33 interview, accepted 3/4/14 had to log on to online portal with instructions above
SAIC: notified 2/4 by email for 3/1 interview

I also applied to Stanford's Art Practice program, but I haven't heard anything. I know they conduct interviews, but I don't think I'll be getting one.
There's still hope! Who knows what kind of timeline they're on... And as for interviews there, at the information session they said they make the 10 finalists do a presentation about their work. Good luck to you!

How RISD said in the email about wait-list? I applied their mfa photo as well but they said admission will be made on March. I am confused.

I had a Skype interview with them on Monday, and they wrote me Thursday saying that I was chosen for the wait-list. They have already offered acceptance to their chosen candidates. There's only 7 MFA photo spots. Did you have an interview?

Just got an official email saying I'm wait-listed for RISD photo... I am kind of surprised, I feel like I bombed my interview big time! So I'm glad that I'm wait-listed, but also frustrated since all that means is more waiting. And can I just say that Skype is the worst way to talk to people?? Seriously awful.
Anyone out there apply to Stanford's Art Practice program?? And are people getting results about CCA? I'm thinking I'm officially out of luck there, but don't want to give up just yet...

I have a few friends of friends that graduated from the art program, but I don't know anyone personally. I didn't apply, but kind of regretting it at this point, it's literally in my backyard!

To anyone who applied to San Francisco Art Institute...
the application online is still reading that they have no received any of my supporting materials.. it lists recs and statement and other things that I have submitted through slideroom already. Is this an error and it just takes a bit before their application is updated with the information through slideroom? Or did you mail these things as well as submit them through sliderrom? I'm afraid the online information isn't very helpful. Thanks a lot!
Alexandria--I would contact their office and check on that. If I remember correctly, their application had you submit materials in slideroom and on the application.
I believe they review/accept applications on a rolling basis, so if they didn't get your app materials in time, you might not be out of luck.
I was contacted for an interview for their MFA Fine Arts Grad program a few weeks ago.

I know you guys are already talking about interview questions, I'm wondering if anyone knows a good way to tackle the question
"where does your work fit within contemporary art?"
Are they looking for your knowledge of contemporary art? Or are they looking for you to make an argument for why anyone should give a s**t about your work?

I received my interview request from CCA around feb 5th to visit for an interview but I opted for skype... thou i still haven't received a time a date for that yet.
For Sculpture, right? I applied for Photo, I've got my fingers crossed that each department is reporting separately...

Stoked this forum exists. I've scanned the pages here, but don't see anyone reporting about CCA. Has anyone heard from them?
Their website says they're interviewing on 2/23, and notifying "early February". Starting to worry that I'm not on that list...
Also, saw that someone predicted Stanford choosing by the end of this week--how do you know?
This is my first round applying to MFA programs, the suspense is awful!!

Any clue what "application under review" might mean on the CCA webadvisor?? I assuming a rejection, at this point they're the last school I'm waiting on, just want this whole process to be OVER!
