  1. Is there anyone who applied to NYU and did not hear back from them? Based on last years' results, NYU seems to be sending out rejections on the same day. Is it possible that my application was not reviewed at all? I'm getting a little worried.

I would check with them, because for what we know they already sent out acceptances and rejections (got my rejection few days ago by email).

  2. Penn has been pretty quiet about their visit days, but in my acceptance email, Emily Hannum indicated that they are planning a visit day on March 26. That is a Wednesday, so I don't know whether it's a one-day event in the middle of the week (seems unlikely) or if it's that weekend. That is all I've heard on the topic. I was accepted last week. I hope that helps!

Thank you pinwheel! That is very helpful! (Although official information from the school would be even better  :P )

Congrats for the acceptance by the way!

  3.

I'll claim an acceptance to the University of Toronto MA program. Received an email today. Should be receiving funding information in the mail shortly.

Hi! A question... I can assume that you are Canadian, right? I ask because I also applied to UofT (PhD program) but I know they rarely admit international students (which I am) because of the very expensive international fees they would have to cover, and the limited funding. Still, do you (or someone else) know if there is a chance for international students this year? Any info on this topic?

Thanks and good luck to all!

  4. Some news that hopefully applies to some of you:

    - Stony Brook is meeting tomorrow. Expect to hear back later this week or early next.

    - UCI hasn't made decisions for non-citizen students yet. This doesn't mean chances for us are good necessarily, though, as they are waiting "for additional funding to become available" first. I think it's not bad news either.

    - Binghamton is meeting on the 21st (I think someone else already mentioned this)

    - Columbia is still making decisions so some of you might have legit shots (I don't, cause GRE scores lol but thought the rest of you should feel a little at ease).

    - Rutgers has made their decisions so if you're feeling bold, give them a call.

Anyone else suspect the single Columbia acceptance posted might be a fake? There is only one from last week and noone even claimed it, that I know of.

Also, if anyone has any real info on CUNY and whether they are still accepting (I highly doubt it but gosh I can't stop hoping, I have a total girl crush on this program) please please share.

Hi, about CUNY: I emailed them and they said they have only notified the people that they were able to offer funding to, and that I should be hearing from them soon. So there is still a good chance! with no fundings though.
