Hi! I am a newly admitted graduate student of Columbia University. Recently I am considering applying the Columbia's housing. I've noticed that the Arbor residential area at Riverdale, Bronx is much newer than the old ones at Morningside Heights and provides better amenity. However I've heard about that the security of Bronx is not so good. So I wonder whether there is someone living in NYC who could tell me more about it, especially the security condition of Riverdale. Hey guys I‘d like to know whether there is someone knowing about the housing at Columbia. I've heard about that the Arbor residential area in Riverdale, Bronx provides better amenity while its distance to the campus is much larger. And it seems that living in Bronx is not as secure as in Manhattan. So I wish to know some specific information about the Arbor, especially the security condition. Thanks!

It is also of high probability that I will choose Columbia for my graduate study, Physics PhD.
