Comparative literature department.
I think I am crazier day by day
Oh, gotcha. Wasn't aware that English and comp lit were separated at Cornell!
-
Wendy, what do you mean? Is there a difference between "English" and "Literature"?
-
SO TRUE!

Mine is still "in progress" too. Judging from years past, they notify acceptances a few days before rejections, so I have been assuming that no news is bad news, after today. I hope not though- for both of our sakes!
It seemed like there were also one or two rejections on the results page plus a waitlister. . .

Thank you!
I started panicking and having visions of them losing my application . . . not logical, but still . . . -
So, I saw a bunch of results (acceptances, rejections, AND a waitlist) from Cornell English PhD applicants saying that they had received an email to check the applyweb account for their status. I did not receive an email, but I checked my account anyway: it says "IN PROGRESS," the same status I have had since submitting my application back at the end of October. About two hours after the results started rolling in, I still have no email and my status remains "IN PROGRESS."
WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!?!?! -
Still "IN PROGRESS" for Cornell. Aaaaaagh what's going on?!

So I didn't get an email from Cornell to check the website and when I logged in, my status still says "IN PROGRESS." So what the hell does that mean?
Penn State

Has anyone heard anything from Penn State?
The results board is just confusing me.
Someone posted on Feb. 5th that they had been accepted via phone and that "they were still putting together actual letters due to some staff changes, but wanted to call because they know how stressful the waiting process is."
After seeing that post, I called the department and was told decisions would be made in the next month (so I don't know if that acceptance is accurate or not) and that everyone would be contacted through snail mail.
Then on March 7th, there were two results (but I assume it was the same person just accidentally making duplicates because the posts were identical) saying they had been put on the wait-list (contacted via email) for the Master's program (not sure if that means NOT the MA/PhD route).
I've emailed the department grad office account and the graduate chair and I've not heard anything back yet. Does anyone know anything? From looking at results of previous years, it seems like Penn State can be really awful at letting people know and they are my last school to hear from. I kind of just want this process to be over already.
