[UCLA SIR/SLR]

I accepted UCLA by completing the SIR and the SLR.

Still not got any follow up email after that.

Is this normal?

And do I have to pay 100$?

If so where?

[UCLA MS CS vs U Wisconsin-Madison MS CS]

Ignoring funding, which is better, UCLA or U Wisconsin?

I am leaning to wards Wisconsin, but only because of the funding.

I am not a resident of either state.

I'm guessing the scenario is something like this:

UCLA has better placements, brand name value.

Wisconsin has a better ranking.(However, is this ranking justified?)

I hvae an admit from U-Wisconsn Madison(funded).

I'm pretty confident that I'll get a UCLA admit too.

 

My research interests are Machine Learning and Computational Biology.

I see that UCLA is ranked at the top almost always, while Madison lags behind.

But I think U Wisconsin is better.

Am I right?

 

 

PS- I know U Wisconsin is harder to land than UCLA, so I'm leaning towards it, but which of these is better?
