  1. Has anyone heard today about funding? I re-read the admissions email and it says you will be contacted if you are selected, so not sure if they will let you know if you are not selected.
  2. I'm interested in Maryland primarily for its energy/environment policy specialization. But in terms of overall reputation I think Georgetown carries the most clout-with that being said it is also very $$$ without funding.
  3. I received that email yesterday but oddly it went straight to my spam folder.
  4. As someone from the Midwest, I've always considered GWU to be a great school. A step above American but a step below Georgetown, competitive but not the same caliber as the Ivies/Georgetown/Stanford.
  5. Hi Everyone- Congrats on being admitted to the University of Maryland-College Park's MPP/MPA program! I didn't see another admitted students forum so I thought I would start one here. So- how many of you are definitely/leaning towards atteniding Marlyand this fall? As for me Maryland is a top runner but I am still having a hard time making a decision.
  6. Hey everyone- Congrats to everyone who has been accepted thus far! I got my acceptance letter last Friday, but unfortunately I am currently on the waitilist for funding. Maryland is my first choice so I really want to attend, but would really prefer to have merit-based aid (assistantship). Does anyone know what the likelihood of being accepted off the waitlist for funding is? Thanks! Also- Did anyone else have a professor cc'd at the bottom of their hard copy acceptance letter sent via email? Why is this?
  7. Finally heard back yesterday with an admit! Very exciting!
  8. Online it says "3-4 weeks after your application is complete" so it seems they are running a bit behind. But at this point I guess no news is good news! The wait continues...
  9. I noticed one user has added an admission decision for the University of Maryland's Public Policy program for Fall 2014 and I am wondering if anyone else has heard back/has any updates? I submitted my application on Dec. 31 but it was not considered "complete" until Jan. 9th- not sure if this matters. Thank you!
